I really enjoy writing wierd music, thats no new discovery. However, one element that I don't like to lose total sight of is the melody.
Many composers are excellent at creating very stimulating soundscapes which is one style of music I haven't really taken a hold of for my own compositions.
This tune was written for a crazy freak out section of the play Misery. I was lucky enough to inherit an old Hammond M-101 Organ from my grandmother Violet. One of the coolest sounds I've heard out of it so far is when you turn it on or off while holding a chord. All the background wavy sounds were created right from the organ, no digital processing or trickery involved. Listen for the multiple clicks of the On/Off switch, enjoy!
