One mystery that every songwriter experiences is the way songs just seem to appear out of nowhere. This tune was written and recorded within about an hour of waking up one morning.
I'm not sure exactly what causes the influx of creativity and Im not sure I really want to know. All I know is that I really appreciate when it shows up!
The title The Potential You Have came right out of the script for the show Proof. I dig taking song titles out of the script. It obviously fits thematically with what is going on but it also helps to keep focused while writing, recording and mixing. Enjoy!
